Donations
The Hayrack welcomes any donation that helps us provide the best care for our animals. Whether this be a monitory donation, fruit and vegetables or even donation of small animal houses or treats for the rabbits and guinea pigs, anything is welcome and greatly appreciated.
Costs are continuing to rise significantly so every penny you donate will go towards the upkeep of the animals.
Typical Animal Upkeep Costs
£11 - £30 for one 20kg bag of feed
£22 - alpaca/sheep shearing
£40 - hoof trimming
£30 - per bale of hay or straw
£9 - per bag of shavings for bedding
£65 - call out health check
£35 - Vet consultations
Clothes Donation
You can help towards the rising costs of feeding the animals by bringing your unwanted clothes, hats, gloves, underwear, footwear and bags to our clothes bank. The bank is situated in our carpark so you can drop off at any time of the day.
Volunteers
Do you have some spare time on your hands? Maybe you are retired and would like to give back to your community a few hours a week? Or maybe you are out of work and need some work experience? Then please get in touch, as a community interest company we are always in need of help whether it be maintenance, gardening or just general help on the farm or in our cafe.
Sponsor an Animal
Our sponsor packs start from just £25 and make the perfect gift for the animal lover in your life. Whether you decide on a silver, gold or a junior package, sponsoring an animal at the Hayrack is really rewarding, you will be helping towards their upkeep including food, bedding and veterinary fees plus your name will be displayed on a ‘Thank You’ plaque near the enclosure of your chosen animal.
Sponsorship lasts a whole year from your chosen start date with the option to renew! Animal enclosures available for sponsorship are:

- Any of our 3 aviaries

Gift Vouchers
Not sure what to get your loved one as a gift? Why not give them a Hayrack voucher to spend on their next visit? Vouchers are available from £10 upwards, for use when purchasing admission tickets, treats from the kiosk, or food from our cafe, gift vouchers are the perfect way to purchase those extra treats for your animal lovers on their trip.
